What is this?
Government needs to cut back on feed
Published Friday, July 3, 2009
With our taxes soaring on purchases, possessions, etc., I think I can relate the running of our government to running a chicken farm.
In running a chicken ranch, if one has too many chickens (government employees, entitlements, etc) and the cost of feed is going up (inflation), instead of trying to charge more for the chickens (raising taxes), one should simply get rid of some of the chickens.
Look at the savings on chicken feed and creature comforts for all those extra chickens.
Make sense?

Tonto say "Paleface who talk in chicken riddles but cannot walk tall in Big City should stay near chicken house where safe and talk to chickens."

And start by getting rid of those farm subsidy handouts.

One of the lamest articles I have ever read. If the chickens are the government that must make the rancher God. It ain't easy herding chickens on a trail drive to Montana.

I understood it, and it makes perfect sense to me.

Oh yes that's a lovely idea...let's compare the government to a chicken farm! By raising taxes, the government is better able to provide services, services that the taxpaying citizens use. Therefore, the money comes back to the citizens through good, efficient service...at least that's the way it's supposed to work...

But do you know for sure it works like that? I don't think so.

Check out the new story on AOL about Michelle Obama's staff. Not counting body guards, there were 22 listed with salaries totalling $1,600,700. For what we have seen the lady accomplish since January, it seems an excellent place to start cutting people and salaries.

How can we be so right that our military efforts MUST command the faith of God and Men, but when it comes to domestic programs, and the rightness of the government's cause otherwise the same people who wave the warfare flag are revealed to HATE our country?
It because the average citizen lives in a world of illusion and narrow self-interest. Most of what gets said by ordinary people is said to co-miserate and bond with their fellows -- and it has little significant value otherwise.

I guess the military has a purpose and shows a return on investment. The welfare crowd shows an overwhelming desire to leech upon society while offering not much in return other than a "YOU OWE ME" mentality. While the military has proven to enhance the security of our nation. The welfare state has undermined the security of many a nice neighborhood. No illusions or narrow self-interest here, just simple "OBSERVATION"!
