TWENTY YEARS AGO — Thirteen members of the Trinity Saints are named to the Academy South A’s All-District team, with Lee Falkenheiner named first-team quarterback, linebacker and punter.

TEN YEARS AGO — David Wells and Mel Cauthen lead Southern Miss with 19 points each and Vandarel Jones has 17 points and 10 rebounds as the Golden Eagles roll past the Alcorn State Braves 88-58.

FIVE YEARS AGO — New Orleans Saints quarterback Aaron Brooks sets franchise records for completions (34) and attempts (60) in a single game, but they still lose to the Denver Broncos 34-13.
