Ham joins reporting staff at The Democrat

Natchez — Emily Ham has joined The Natchez Democrat staff as a news reporter.
Ham, a native of Dozier, Ala., earned her bachelor of science degree in journalism from Troy University in Troy, Ala. She also earned a minor in history.
At Troy, she worked as a reporter, opinion editor, news editor and co-editor during her three-year tenure at the school newspaper, The Tropolitan.
She also completed an internship at the American Journalism Center in Washington, D.C., during the summer of 2008.
Ham is a 2005 graduate of Straughn High School in Andalusia, Ala.
She will cover Adams County government among other things for The Democrat.
