Absolutely! If the Chamber of Commerce, NDDA, EDA, and the Tourism council would come under one branch, I think a lot more could be accomplished. At this time, there is not even an event calendar. That means that we overlap in functions on the same weekend. That should not happen. We could have something to do every weekend in Natchez if one entity was handling things.

I never know who to call about what....and I live here! Can you imagine the confusion a tourist feels? Merge them into 1 agency.....it will a) save money b) make them run more efficiently c) eliminate competion d)be less confusing. If the City really wants to save money, they would seriously look into this. I have my doubts about their willingness...they definitely have their "favorites" at tourism office.
